My name is Latifa el-Asadi, I am a 26 years old Palestinian girl, originally from Der Asadi, Living in Ein el Helwe refugee camp in Saida.

I spend my spare time doing some sports and I walk a lot, if I’m done with that I sit and do a lot of embroidery to improve myself, it also teaches me patience, I love it, I love the fact that it clears my mind and I feel I finished something artistic when I am done.

I learned it here with tatreez and the tatreez team, which is an awesome family, all the women are lovely and I now can support my family financially, makes me feel important even if I am one of the youngest,

I feel I have a role, and I am a part of something so nice and powerful at the same time, not to mention that it is our pride, the Palestinian tradition.

I hope one day in the future I will be able to pass it on to generations after me to keep it alive and to show the world the beauty of it.
I now can support my family financially, makes me feel important even if I am one of the youngest.
